Travel isn’t expected to rebound to 2019 levels until 2023, and that means hotels, airlines and other travel businesses must get creative in the meantime.

Though it may not strictly be super creative, everyone loves a 2 for 1 offer, and that’s exactly what IHG is offering, for stays at lovely hotels across Europe, from Holiday Inn to Intercontinental. If you’re staying three nights, Accor has buy 2 get 1 free offers for stunning Sofitel, MGallery and other hotels across Europe too…

IHG Two Nights For The Price Of One

IHG is giving travellers two good reasons to stay in their many lovely hotels right now. First, there’s up to 4X points up for grabs, with the latest offers. Second, those offers can be stacked with the latest two nights for the price of one offers.

So yeah, you can earn up to 4X the usual points per night, while paying circa 50% less at hotels all over Europe. Here’s the promotion in England, Spain, and Germany. The promo page doesn’t show all the hotels, so go country by country searching the two for one offers, or just search for two night stays to trigger the lower offers.

The IHG two for the price of one offers must be booked by August 24th, but unlike most lucrative offers, these allow travel in Europe from August 3rd, 2020 up through April 30th, 2021.

Are there any catches?

There’s one big one. These “More To See” bookings require full pre-payment and are non-refundable. You can find full T&C’s here. Given the unpredictable nature of travel right now, it may be hard to commit to anything too far in advance. For those willing to take the risk, 50% off per night is attractive, and can amount to more than €100 off per night.

Accor Hotels Buy 2 Get 1 Free Offers

Eastern Europe provides amazing value and some of the most charming hotels in the world. Five star hotels are often the price you’d pay for much less further West, and with three nights for the price of two, you can do even better.

Accor Hotels, the group behind Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Ibis, Mercure and more, is offering 3 nights for 2 deals across eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

These offers are for travel from August 10th through October 4th, 2020 and must be booked by August 16th. One big “plus” is that not all of these offers are prepaid, so you may be able to find savings without too much commitment.

You can book with Accor here, and here’s a list of participating hotels (pdf).
