Swiss, Lufthansa and Austrian just launched some “wow” worthy fares to Bangkok which allow you more than 20 hours of Swiss or Australian business class comfort in the air for prices which would generally be considered excellent for premium economy. We’re talking £930 round trip flights to Southeast Asia, and if you’d like to talk about making it happen for yourself – read up…
The Flight Deals To Bangkok
Star Alliance has the lowest fares we’ve seen in quite a while for travel to Bangkok, with the best deals from Oslo, Norway. Brussels is a close second. These fares now even cover peak summer travel as well as autumn options, which gives you even more flexibility than the last time they popped up…
For £930 (€1100), you can fly round trip business class on Swiss, Lufthansa or Austrian (perhaps more) for £930 all in. You’ll likely see the price in Norwegian Krona, which comes out to 10,800 NOK.
Fares like these don’t tend to last more than a few hours, so if you want in on this, best to put the New Years Champagne purchases to the side, just for a brief minute and lock in something exciting while you’ve got it.
The Dates You Can Travel
These deals are drying up quickly, but right now there’s good availability in April, May, June, July, August, September and October of 2020. Those are incredible prices for peak summer travel, when economy can actually cost more.
You’ll need to fidget with dates to get something to stick, and Swiss is typically the place to make that happen when it comes to booking, but fear not – we’ve got help below…
How To Book Business Class
The best way to get these itineraries to actually price out is to find flights on Google Flights and then book with Swiss. Here’s a link to a working example on Google Flights. Simply change the dates, and click around noting that not every itinerary will be bookable, but many will be. You just need to play around.
Happy deal hunting! £930 for Swiss 777 Business Class to Bangkok is worth a bit of effort. Here’s a review, in case you’re curious about the experience…
Swiss isn’t worth going to Europe for if starting in London.
Small seats and cramped space.
I wouldn’t pay more than £1250 from London.
Really, you can throw Austrian in there as well. No priority boarding, same seats as economy and food that rivals Ryanair. Paid full price business class for an economy service.
Maybe longhaul is better but wouldn’t risk it based on the short haul experience.
Rant over.
P.S.
Still sitting on the tarmac waiting for Austrian to decide if the plane is fit to fly…..sigh
“Swiss or Australian business class” Has Qantas joined Star Alliance? 🙂
