One airline has been far more entertaining than most during the pandemic, which has ravaged the industry, and that’s Air Canada. The flag carrier for Canada has innovated with unique loyalty offerings, including mega miles for UberEats, and even released ‘all you can fly’ passes.
But now, Air Canada is making an awesome foray into the luxury market, offering all business class flights, using planes typically reserved for pro sports teams or rockstars. The flights will soon be available for sale, and are bound for the most coveted winter destinations.
Air Canada All Business Class Flights
Air Canada has a fleet of 4 “JETZ” aircraft, which are customized Airbus A319’s, with every seat setup in North American business class. Some seats of four even face each other, with a table in the middle to dine, or play cards. If you watched the “Last Dance” documentary on Netflix with Michael Jordan and the Bulls, you’d have seen something similar.
With teams mostly grounded, and rockstars doing concerts from their bedroom, Air Canada is putting these jets to use on select markets for fall and winter travel. The Air Canada VIP Jetz will fly:
- Toronto to: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Barbados, Cancun, Kelowna and Vancouver.
- Vancouver to: Phoenix, Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta.
- Montreal to: Fort Lauderdale and Barbados.
So what can customers expect on these special Air Canada all business class flights? A pretty amazing experience, actually. For starters, prime gate positions, lounge access and upgraded food. Palm Springs sounds pretty good right now, doesn’t it?
When flying with Air Canada Jetz, customers will travel in a single cabin with 58 North American Business Class seats offering 42-to-49-inch seat pitch, including four facing seats with a table in the middle that can be booked for families and friends travelling together, and complimentary iPads for entertainment.
Customers receive priority check-in and security clearance, Maple Leaf Lounge and Star Alliance Lounge access (where available) and aircraft leave from prime gate locations, requiring customers to begin boarding only 35 minutes prior departure.
Customers will also be offered a premium, pre-packaged meal curated by celebrated Montreal chef Antonio Park, with complimentary bar and beverage service. All flights will be operated in accordance with Air Canada’s biosafety protocols, centered around the Air Canada CleanCare+ program.Air Canada
The first wave of these special flights will begin December 12th, and run through early January, but with the flights expected to be a huge hit, Air Canada is already looking to add future dates to the schedule. Interested customers should check out the official Jetz page for prices, booking details and availability.
With social distancing never an easy feat on planes, these VIP configurations put half the typical passengers onto each flight, with more space in between each. It’s a brilliant move, and one that makes me wish Canada would open the border to Americans, just so I could take one…
Umm the flights are on their clapped out old 319s not eh 787.
Where does anyone say 787?
