This is kind of a cool opportunity to hit some of New York’s best restaurants without putting on your finest. American Express Gold Card is sponsoring The Resy Drive-Thru New York. Resy, as you may know, is an online reservations company that American Express purchased in 2019. The event will take place on September 16th and 17th and, if you have an American Express Gold card, you can buy your tickets now.
Ten Restaurants at Brooklyn’s Skyline Drive-In
Needless to say, this is a somewhat unusual event. Chauffeured golf carts will take you through ten different courses that represent a variety of restaurants in New York. The options include:
- Bonnie’s
- Crown Shy
- Dhamaka
- Frankies Spuntino
- Red Hook Tavern
- Shuka
- Sofreh
- Sylvia’s
- Taqueria Ramirez
- Union Square Cafe
After visiting the ten New York themed sites, you’ll end the trip at a block party.
American Express Gold Card Holders Receive Priority Ticket Access, Other Benefits
Since the event is sponsored by American Express, holders of the Gold card, which offers 4X points at restaurants, will get a few extra perks.
- A presale that opens 48 hours prior to the event before they go on sale to the general public
- An extra stop on the trip, with an 11th course from Razza
- Two drink tickets for the block party at the end
- Breakfast the next morning is covered! You’ll take home a dozen H&H Bagels (with cream cheese, of course)
To be eligible for the promotion, you must link your Gold Card to your Resy account and use an eligible American Express card to purchase your tickets.
Purchasing Tickets
Tickets go on sale to the general population on August 17 at 10:00 am, but Gold Card Members can buy now. Tickets are $110 per person and can be purchased at Resy or in the app. Tickets much be purchased in groups of two or four. If you can get your tickets now, I’d advise you to do so, so you can choose your reservation time.
Future Resy Events
American Express is pushing the service hard, so keep an eye out for events in Miami (October 9-10), Los Angeles (October 18-19), Philadelphia (November 2-3), Houston (November 8-9) and Chicago (November 13).
