Qatar Offering Complimentary Hotels, Transit Visas For All Passengers During Summer Travel…

Want to stay at the Four Seasons? For Free? Though it sounds too good to be true, it’s not. Qatar Airways in partnership with Qatari Tourism are offering complimentary one night stays at the Radisson Blu, Marriott Marquis or Four Seasons for any passengers with layovers between 5 and 96 hours during the summer, in addition to complimentary transit visa. Passengers can arrange a second night at any of these hotels for just $50. 25% Amex To JetBlue Transfer Bonus…

Amex is offering a 25% bonus on transfers of it Membership Rewards Points into JetBlue TrueBlue Points for transfers made from now through May 31st. Effectively, this means that for a limited time,  1 Amex Point = 1 Jet Blue Point. This would mean that you can redeem your Amex points at a rate of 1.5 cents per point with JetBlue. If you have the JetBlue credit card you’ll even slightly improve the value, thanks to the 10% rebate when using points. This is not a screaming deal, but for those who enjoy flying JetBlue and prefer not to pay for it, it’s better than the standard ratio. Simply login to your Amex and the bonus will apply automatically.

American Airlines Is Shrinking Economy Seats…

American is very excited about their new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. So excited, that they’re going to squeeze every last cent and inch out of it. ViewFromTheWing notes coverage from CNN and Skift about the changes. They’ll reduce pitch from 31” to 29”, putting them directly in line with the worst discount carriers. Additionally, they’ll shrink lavatories. To make things worse, the airline is using Recaro Slimline Seats, which often make me wonder whether I’m sitting on a garden shovel or a brick. Plans seem to extend to their Airbus A321 and other 737 family as well. All rejoice…
