British Airways is out with one of its best sales in years. We’ve come a long, long way in travel in recent times, but unfortunately, vouchers came along for the ride too, making it a bit harder to get back out there.
Because everyone was applying these old vouchers to new bookings, it was easy for airlines to jack prices up, knowing there was less price sensitivity than usual thanks to money already spent — and more demand than ever, with two years cooped up.
But for the first time in a while, there’s a sale out with pricing nearing lows of 2019 and that’s exciting for just about everyone who loves a luxury deal, with flights starting at just £72 one way. Here are a few of the very best, cherry picked deals from the British Airways premium sale.
British Airways March Premium Sale
Whether you’re looking far and wide or near and long weekend neat, there are attractive offers for business and first class in the new British Airways sale departing from London and the UK.
First class to top destinations starts at £2200 round trip and there’s plenty of £1000-£1300 round trip business class to destinations in the Middle East, USA and Asia. For short haul, business class starts at £73 each way, which is a total bargain.
If you combine flight and hotel, there are some amazing packages like business class round trip to Dubai with 5 nights of hotel for £2000 per person, which can be secured with an Avios deposit now!
Short Haul Stunner Deals
The best thing to do is to navigate over to the British Airways Premium Sale, but it’s nice to have a shopping list before you go. Here are a few of the hottest short haul deals departing London, which include lounge access and meals and drinks on the plane…
- Luxembourg from £72 each way
- Dublin from £82 each way
- Copenhagen from £99 each way
- Hamburg from £98 each way
- Malaga from £127 each way
- Milan from £125 each way
- Prague from £103 each way
- Sofia from £106 each way
- Venice from £101 each way
- and many more under £100…
For short haul, most of the best sale dates are for travel in March, April and May, or for September, October, November and December. There’s decent availability in other months, but letting BA’s price finder do the work is a good move.
Long Haul Stunner Deals
In recent years, BA’s Club World cabins from London never really dipped below £1500 for places like the USA in sales, but these offers are a significant improvement. Tel Aviv can be found from just £1000 round trip, while many US favorites are in the £1300’s, like…
- New York for £1329 round trip
- Toronto from £1374 round trip
- Portland from £1484 round trip
- Chicago from £1379 round trip
- Austin from £1675 round trip
- Hong Kong from £2200 round trip
- Tel Aviv from £1000 round trip
First Class Too
There are great first class deals to Portland, Las Vegas and Nashville from just £2200 from London for travel over the summer. These are definitely worth investigating for anyone who likes the extra comfort and premium feel.
Plenty of exceptions exist, but most of the lowest prices for US flights involve departures in late 2023 or into 2024. You’re getting the discount as an early bird incentive this time around.
While those deals are very attractive for flight only, British Airways deals get more attractive in some cases when looking at flight and hotel.
Actually Save Money By Adding Hotels
It sounds odd, but airlines love getting in on the lodging game. So much so, they’ll occasionally take a hit on flights just to grab your hotel booking. For the Maldives, the cheapest flight alone from London is £3408. But — if you book 7 nights of hotel for two people, the price comes out to £2999 per person all in for business class and hotel.
Yep, you’re saving £400 per person on flights alone, by adding 7 nights of hotel.
Another example, the cheapest flight only deal to Dubai is £1999 in Club World. But, and this is a very good but — if you do flight plus five nights of hotel for two people as one package, you can get the entire holiday for around £2029 per person.
Yep again, by adding five nights of five star hotel, you pay £30 of difference per person in total. You get five nights of five star hotel and business class for £2029 per person.

… Finally!
Though personally i still prefer clean, well maintened cabins, reliable IT and responsive ground based customer service
Looks good, but having booked business Class with BA a few years back from LHR-PHX, then getting stung to pay extra to be allowed pick a seat, I swore never again to give BA my business
