Despite the goings on of the world, this could be one of the greatest summers to visit Greece in the last 50 years. Islands typically rammed with cruise ships and too many guests are sans any cruise ships at all, and with many opting to stay home this summer, some of the dreamiest places are on sale too. Getting there? That’s also on sale.

Aegean is offering buy one, get one half off on all international tickets to Greece this summer, even on their lower economy fares, which is yet another reason to give Greece a second thought. It may not be this open for exploring again for decades…

Aegean is offering a very simple deal, aiming to incentivize people to bring a friend, family member or date along with them. When you buy a ticket by July 13th, 2020, for travel up until October 31st, 2020, you’ll get a second for pretty much half off. We say “pretty much”, because it applies to most of the ticket, but not government fees.

The best part: the buy one, get one half off offer applies to even the lowest priced Aegean tickets and business class fares. Aegean is one of the best ways to reach Greece this summer, including direct flights from Europe to sought after islands, without a connection somewhere in between. Avoiding flight connections is kinda “hot” right now…

To take advantage, or just search for the offer, you’ll need to visit Aegeanair.com, and enter X2FUNDEAL in the promo code section before searching. There are bargains to be had in all cabins, particularly if you consider shoulder season travel, but really, they’re all good.

Aegean kept this promotion pretty simple and open, which is great, but obviously they’ve got all the legal T&C’s. If you want to read the full breakdown, you can head over to their website, but in summary…

The promotional code cannot be used along with a credit voucher/another promotional code. Only one promotional code can be used in each booking. In case the ticket includes 2 flights, both need to be done till 31/10/2020, otherwise the promotional code cannot be proceeded.

Ticket cancellation of one of the two tickets is not allowed and as a result, both tickets need to be cancelled. In case of ticket cancellation of both tickets, refund policy is applied depending on the cancellation policy. Online ticket changes are allowed; however, a fare difference might be applied.

Greece Is Welcoming Visitors

It’s important to mention that Greece seems to genuinely want visitors this summer, and has gone to great lengths to make things safe for visitors and locals alike, including strict measures on table distancing, and cleanliness for hotels.

Cafes, bars, restaurants and beaches are open, so the experience should be as good, if not better than normal, thanks to the absence of thousands of cruise passengers. Greece is welcoming visitors from throughout Europe, the UK and a list of 8 European Union approved countries, and there are no quarantine requirements at this time.

  1. I don’t see any direct flights from NYC. Do you have any suggestions on a cheap layover?
