Few places wow people quite like Hong Kong. Even if you only have an hour, a walk down Avenue Of The Stars, looking across the picturesque harbour to Hong Kong Island and the staggering mountains behind creates lasting memories. It’s a place of rich history, stunning food, great suits and hiking at every turn. If you’re flying from London, it’s tough to beat direct, and Cathay Pacific has an awesome sale at the moment which makes that cheaper and easier than usual.

Despite the protests, Hong kong remains one of the safest cities in the world – and also one of the best to visit. It’s safe to say it’s essential on any travel bucket list. Cathay Pacific has amazing prices to the city of light shows at the moment, less than half what they are on many dates, starting at £440 round trip in economy or £850 in Premium.

Premium economy is one of the best ways to ride to Asia in comfort for less, and if you have frequent flyer status, it’s also one of the best ways to perhaps score an upgrade to business class. If you want to take matters into your own hands, Cathay has really reasonable charts for upgrading using points as well.

The Dates You Can Travel

Hong Kong is hot as hell in the summer, but quite ideal in November around 24°C, and that’s exactly when you can find these deals. The lowest prices in each cabin are available from November 1st through December 5th and offer direct flights in both ways.

The Premium Economy deals have no minimum stay, while the Economy deals require a 7 night stay. While the outbound must be completed during this window, you can technically use these deals to return at a much later time, up to 3 months in the future.

You’ve got choices! These deals can be booked directly with Cathay at their sale page here, but if you want to save a few bucks (who doesn’t?) then Skyscanner has lower fares in both cabins. Here are links to both offers, from which you can simply change dates to something that works for you and book.

Here’s the essential guide to visiting Hong Kong, including how to get from the airport to the city, where to stay, where to eat and how to get to the amazing “Peak” like a local, without all the silly lines.
