Everyone deserves a break right now, and for some, that means a desire to venture out into the delights of Europe, for sun, city, food, relaxation, or all the above. Getting there in business class, with airport lounges, champagne and a guaranteed blocked seat next for a semi socially distanced flight makes makes it all feel a lot better too.
Right now, British Airways has matched, and in fact beaten many of the lowest business class prices from other connecting airlines for direct flights from London to many European cities.
These bargains can bring the perfect getaway, and in some cases, a handy way to grab some nice Avios and elite status tier points on the cheap. Here’s the details…
The Club Europe Business Class Deals
Lufthansa has been aggressively selling business class out of London to tempt travellers to put up with a connection, but British Airways is fighting back with the same pricing, albeit with direct flights.
Standout deals include:
- Amsterdam for £80 each way.
- Bilbao for £72 each way.
- Bordeaux for £84 each way.
- Budapest for £124 each way.
- Corfu for £176 each way.
- Genoa for £79 each way.
- Instanbul for £150 each way.
- Ibiza for £97 each way.
- Naples for £109 each way.
Travel Dates
Simply click the links above, select business class and explore options. Many prices are available as early as August of 2020, and as late as May of 2021, wide open availability in between too.
The prices are based on a seven night stay, and shorter trips might raise prices slightly, or not at all, depending on the city. Using the flexible calendar tool on British Airways makes it easy to find the lowest prices.
Points and More
If you’re into your British Airways Executive Club elite bronze, silver or gold status, some of these flights earn 160 tier points round trip, rather than the standard 80 for most of Europe. Two trips, would make you Bronze for a destination like Istanbul.
You can use BA’s tier points and Avios calculator here to double check earning rates.
British Airways Club Europe service is back to a high standard, with personal bottles of champagne, and the same meal portions enjoyed before, albeit in a sealed box for safety.
How To Book
These deals can be booked directly with British Airways, and all the best offers can be found on the European Lowest Fares page. There’s no telling how long many of these deals will last, and all British Airways bookings currently benefit from their increased flexibility policy.
At GSTP, we’re big fans of travel agents, and the peace of mind they bring to travel (and refund issues) and can recommend our friend Adam Corin at Travel Counsellors. If you’re also a travel agent keen to help GSTP readers, please feel free to leave your details in the comments.
We’ve managed to snag a couple of bargains with the sale, one the Bilbao flights you mentioned (assuming we’re allowed to travel by September!!). The other a £300p/p 3 night holiday (business flights, b&b) to Sofia – 160TP route.
