You’ve been warned. You’re not a true Delta SkyMiles fan until you bookmark the Delta ‘SkyMiles Flash Deals’ page. But sometimes, Delta is extra sneaky and releases some amazing values to use miles without any warning, and today that’s the case.
There are one way flights within the USA from 2,000 SkyMiles and $6, and even transcontinental flights for 4,500 miles and $6 one way. That’s a pretty ridiculously cheap and useful way to travel this year.
Delta SkyMiles Flash Deals
Our friends at Frequent Miler happened upon some super values to cash in Delta SkyMiles, for travel up to mid year. It may not be for everyone right now, but done safely and responsibly, travel can still be fun and rewarding.
If your travel dates are for later in the year, be sure to read up on this post, to make sure you don’t miss the next hot offer from Delta SkyMiles.
Delta is offering one way flights within the USA from just 2,000 SkyMiles one way, and flights including options like Seattle to Los Angeles and other mid haul routes.
For a bit more miles, from 4,500 SkyMiles one way, things like New York and East Coast hubs to Texas or Florida, or Midwest to the West Coast are included too. Even a variety of transcontinental flights like Atlanta to Los Angeles start at 4,500 miles.
Rather than list 1,000’s of potential routes, the best thing to do is search on Delta.com.
When Can You Travel On These SkyMiles Offers?
These offers are primarily for travel between now and May 2021, but it’s worth checking other dates. GSTP found stellar availability in March, even to many of the most popular warm weather destinations including California, Texas and Florida.
Using flexible dates and the Delta ‘Price Calendar’ when you search will help pull up the lowest prices fastest, if you have any travel flexibility.
Should You Use Your SkyMiles?
Many of these flights aren’t particularly expensive using cash either, so if a bigger trip across an pond, or ocean in business class is what you’re aiming for, it may be best to give these a pass and just pay cash.
But if you have a relatively small number of points and don’t plan to accumulate masses, or would rather spend the money when you get there, there’s a lot to love here.
Are Any Other Routes Available Using Delta SkyMiles?
Wondering if there’s any surprisingly good availability at a great points price for you? Just run a search for spring travel. Delta’s website makes it rather easy to search using points by simply selecting ‘Shop with Miles’, and then selecting ‘Price Calendar’ to bring up a month of pricing in one click.
If you find something good, leave it in the comments! As travel begins to rebound and exceptions are granted for vaccinated travelers, expect for travel to start to rebound by summer.
