Black Friday has been almost entirely underwhelming this year. I say almost, because there are some stellar deals out, but mostly under the radar. This morning, GSTP hit a winner, finding £1100 business class offers from London to Bangkok round trip.
Since Thailand is open to all fully vaccinated visitors and the process for entry is getting easier by the day, that’s exciting stuff, so here’s everything you need to know.
Flight Deals To Bangkok
Flight deals are scarce this year, but who cares when they’re this good. Finnair has one stop business class from London to Bangkok (via Helsinki) and aboard their gorgeous Airbus A350’s for £1100 per person. For direct pricing, that’s incredible.
These are Finnair’s lowest business fares, which don’t include a checked bag or lounge access (unless you have it automatically via Oneworld elite status) but does include everything else, like food and drinks.
Modestly more expensive fares (about £1300) do include baggage and the rest for anyone who doesn’t have these perks automatically via elite status. Krabi and Phuket are also available at similar fares!
For British Airways Executive Club members, these fares also earn a great number of tier points, coming in at 220 tier points each way, thanks to 80 on the Europe segments between London and Helsinki, and 140 on each Helsinki – Bangkok segment.
The Dates You Can Fly
These deals are just beginning to populate on Google Flights, and you can find a variety of scattered dates in each month, from January 2022 thru June. If that’s “too soon”, you can find deals in September for £1250.
In most cases, these deals carry a one week minimum stay requirement, which if you are going all that way… shouldn’t be a problem. Sunday and Monday tend to be the best departure days for the lowest fares.
How To Book These Flights
Your trusty friends at GSTP would never let you down, so we’ve put together direct links to Google Flights, which should pull up the lowest prices with ease. Just select the departure date in the calendar and look for “green” days when prices are the lowest.
You can find the offers here.
Once you’ve found dates that work, you can book directly with Finnair, or with Google, among others. The fares are also bookable on online travel agencies, which could lead to great package deals.
Knowing the maximum stay is also useful.
Anyone is welcome to post it here.
Seems to £1140 pp.
Depends on the OTA, the day, the direction of the wind, etc. Some are £1100, some are more… if £40 is the differentiator in booking…
Still a terrific deal :). Thanks for posting.
If you have gold status would you be able to check a bag using the card?
