If sightseeing tours through the Medellin hillside, in search of Pablo Escobar’s buried barrels of cash isn’t enough, you can now take your obsession with Señor Escobar to the max – sleeping in one of his mansions. There’s a new luxury hotel in Mexico so swanky- it’s fitting of a cocaine kingpin.

The property, now owned by renowned art (not drug) dealer, Lio Malca, was formerly the compound of a Colombian business man named Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria, until his untimely death in 1993. Though he’s long gone, there’s nothing wrong with strolling around the property imagining he’s still hanging around though. After all, at $460 a night, you can do what you want…

In true Pablo style, there’s both an indoor and outdoor pool, plenty of food and of course, a full bar. Even the bar is a work of art. Sit back, sip something cool and imagine some serious looking guys with AK-47’s guarding the place. That sort of thing is frowned upon these days, even at a former Pablo Escobar residence. And yes, it’s perfectly safe now…
