Konichiwa, flat beds…

Few travel experiences rival Tokyo or Osaka. Both cities bring so much to the table, whatever your interests. It’s often said that one of the few things that keep people from actually getting to Japan is the fear of the long haul journey in economy. They may not be cheap, but from London, these £1495 round trip business class deals are bound to make the journey an experience rather than a grind, and Japan is a place you’ll never forget.

Swiss and Lufthansa are pushing back from the big £925 sale going on from Zurich, with their own sale from London. These deals offer round trip business class on either airline (GSTP prefers Swiss) from London to Tokyo or Osaka, with just one connection in Zurich or Frankfurt. It’s also possible to “open jaw” booking a flight into Osaka and out of Tokyo, or vice versa, simply booking a separate one way to connect the two.

These deals are valid from Late November 2018 thru August 2019, giving you an incredible range of dates to play with. Not every single date will be available, but you can get around any minimum stay requirements by flying Austrian. Lufthansa and Swiss have a fairly easy Saturday night stay requirement.

Here’s everything to know before you visit Japan. These deals are not the lowest fares to Asia we’ve ever seen, but Japan is a country which hardly ever sees great deals, and these fares are about as low as you ever see from the UK. Here’s a Google Flights example link for Tokyo, Osaka, and open jaw with both. You can book direct with Lufthansa or Swiss, and these fares can be upgraded to First using (an extortionate amount) of points.
