With economy fares from the mid $200’s, you can discover Europe for less than what most people pay to discover their neighbouring state. With those super low economy deals, airlines have had to lower the price of premium economy too. We certainly don’t mind.

Oneworld airlines American, Iberia and British Airways are offering great prices on premium economy flights to Madrid, out of: New York, Miami, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Washington DC. Delta and other airlines can be found around $50-$100 higher.

These flights bring considerably more legroom, larger entertainment screens, better recline and at least one checked bag. Of course, you also tend to earn a lot more redeemable airline miles and elite status credit with these fares as well.

It’s worth noting that if you book with British Airways, for British Airways flights, the return trip from Europe can be upgraded for roughly $150 and 22,000 Avios Points, which can turn this into a very solid deal…

These fares are wide open from next week through May, and then can still be found even in peak summer (total bargain) for Tuesday and Wednesday departures from the USA. The low fares then open up again from September onward on virtually any date.

To lock in the lowest prices when you search, a stay of at least one week, like Monday to Monday is required. If you’re willing to pay a premium around $100, you can take a shorter trip, but Spain is lovely, so you might as well stay…
