Childish, maybe – but it’s true.

True confession: my wife is a huge Christmas fan. Unlike many festive years spent in the Northern Hemisphere, we’ll be taking in a majority of holiday celebrations in areas lined with palm trees and sunny beaches.According to my wife – that’s not very “Christmassy”, so we’ve set out in search of Christmas lights on palm trees, or anything else festive. After countless, immensely unsuccessful missions – we finally found out why Christmas is different down here…

Much like Ryanair with their  special snow creations, palm trees turn wonderful plant life into “rocket ships”, which happen to be seemingly exploding when lighted at the moment of photo capture. Who knew? It’s a beautiful world, and it’s high time to go explore it.
