Bali is ready for you to return, and now is a great time to book. Singapore Air is offering some outstanding fares from the United States in its Premium Economy cabin. Depending on the city that you are flying from, the best capacity seems to be between January and March, but there should be inexpensive alternatives during the winter months. Spending the winter in Bali sounds like a really good idea to me, even if it is the rainy season.

Premium Economy on Singapore Air

With 60% of its GDP tied to tourism, Bali was hit particularly hard by global health crisis, so I’m glad to see that there are some inexpensive options to go. It’s simply an added sweetener that these fares are on Singapore Air and in Premium Economy for the long-haul. The airline is known for its service and, when combined with a better-than-average seat, you should have a comfortable flight.

Travel Dates and Origination Options

New York’s JFK is where I’m seeing some of the best deals. Roundtrip fares are starting at $1,222 and there’s is wide availability from January to March. You shouldn’t have any trouble spending a week or two in paradise.

Don’t Neglect Other Starting Points, Though

Here are a couple of examples, but they’re certainly not the only options.

The cheapest overall fares that I’m seeing are actually from Vancouver. There are a few select dates in November, when the roundtrip fare drops under $1,000. But you’ll still have a few Tuesday and Thursday options if you want to go in January and February. Vancouver is a beautiful city itself, so if you have some time, I highly recommend spending a few days there.

Chicago also has flights starting at just under $1,700. Dates are a little more sparse, but you should be able to find something that fits your needs (or gets close). January and February are currently when I’m seeing the best prices.

A Few Other Factors to Keep in Mind When Booking

  • These are bargain fares, so you may have to be flexible if you want the rock-bottom prices. There may be a second connection or an extended layover, so bring a good book.
  • Move quickly if you find a flight you like. Airlines sell seats at these prices because they have to. If they believe that demand is picking up, they’ll raise the prices.

How to Book these Great Deals to Bali

The best fares aren’t always at the carrier’s website, so be sure to check out the OTA (online travel agents), as well. Here are a few starter options for you:

Good luck on your trip to Bali! Remember to be flexible and, if these cities don’t work for you, check out what other origins offer.
