Yep, that’s the round trip price…
China is far, and business class is lovely. Combining these two concepts to create a relaxing travel journey is always the dream, but with standard business prices over $3,000 it usually stops there for most people. Today – China Southern is offering flat beds across the Pacific Ocean, from North America to China, starting in either direction, at just $1589 round trip. Sure, it’s expensive, but a bed on a 14 hour flight is really nice…
The Flight Deals
China Southern is a SkyTeam airline, which means you can earn miles with Delta, Air France or any of the most lucrative SkyTeam programs, even though you’re flying China Southern. The lowest deals are available from Vancouver to Beijing, and going the other way – from Beijing to San Francisco. Both deals are in the $1500’s round trip. Vancouver is an excellent gateway with easy connectivity from North America, and one of the world’s very best airport hotels. Beijing needs no introduction. For those not inclined to start from Vancouver, the next best deal is Los Angeles at $1850 round trip. The long haul portion of these flights is aboard the airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner or 777 wide body jets.
The Deal Dates
These deals are available in late October and November of 2018, as well as February of 2019. Other dates are available at slightly higher prices, but if you want the best deals, those are your best bets. A one week minimum stay appears to be a requirement with these deals, which means you’ll need Chinese visa’s if you plan to stay in China for more than 72 hours.
How To Book Business Class
Google Flights will help you find the dates where prices are the lowest. Here’s an example from Vancouver to Beijing, and going the other way from Beijing to San Francisco. Once you find dates that work, we highly suggest using sites like SkyScanner and Momondo to drop the prices down even lower. Paying $1500 for round trip business class to or from Asia is a rare treat, so if you could use a nice chunk of miles or elite status points – or maybe just a really cool trip to see the Great Wall, lock these in while they last…
