In big cities, big chain hotels provide a comfort in known standards and potential benefits via loyalty programs, which can make a stay more enjoyable. But what about the parts of the globe which don’t have paved roads, let alone conference rooms, or high rise buildings? When it comes to leisure travel, those are the places most people want to go.

Hyatt was the earliest to recognize the allure of unique and boutique properties, and the group has just added another 49 boutique hotels from the Small Luxury Hotels portfolio, where you can earn and redeem World of Hyatt Points, including $1000 a night suites in Greece for 30,000 points per night…

Small Luxury Hotels, better known as SLH has partnered with Hyatt for over a year now, bringing an incredible array of boutique properties to the World of Hyatt platform. It means you can earn Hyatt points when you spend money at these hotels, but also that you can use Hyatt points to book them too.

The impact has been instant, with Hyatt going from just one lonely hotel in Italy to more than 10 across the most desirable regions. The newest set of 49 boutique hotels added to the partnership extends the trends to places like Santorini, where World of Hyatt members can now earn points or use points at Canaves Oia, easily one of the most instagrammed hotels on earth.

The world of loyalty programs, business travel and points enthusiasts can be very insular, with a outsized focus on places where there’s something to gain. This continued expansion into boutique hotels from the jungles of Bali to the cliffs of Santorini and beyond makes participating in World of Hyatt more appealing to anyone who enjoys travel, since they can earn benefits and points, and better yet – use them – at top hotels.

And yes, this totally makes the World Of Hyatt Credit Card with a 50,000 point welcome bonus even more desirable. With an annual fee of just $95 per year, the annual free night and status are more than justified, and those 50,000 points now have even more lucrative use.

Other great destinations added in the latest field of SLH x Hyatt hotels includes Belize, Lithuania, Cyprus, Morocco, Bahrain, Turks & Caicos and Switzerland. Here’s a full list of the new SLH hotels you can book with World of Hyatt Points, and which category they fall into…

It’s great to see World of Hyatt continuing to push the appeal of loyalty programs beyond traditional frequent travellers. I, for one, will certainly be more inclined to earn Hyatt Points, knowing that I can enjoy the unique experiences I personally enjoy in smaller and more unique hotels in the process. And yeah, being able to cash them in for a super expensive suite in the best destination to watch a sunset never hurts…
