Other than “credit card, please” three words just won’t get you an upgrade on a flight. We’ve proven that. But they’ll definitely get you some free perks on your next Kimpton Hotel stay.
The beloved IHG Hotels brand now offers a double whammy to get a stay in the books, with 4x bonus points and big discounts on new stays, including free nights. To make it all even better, we’ve also got the details on the “secret” password to get free perks when you check in…
Start With A Discount…
Kimpton, along with IHG is offering discount on all stays, and up to 4x bonus points right now too. These offers apply to Kimpton Hotels all over the world, and they are expanding…
The Kimpton Secret Password…
Dropping the words “Road Trip” at check in will unlock the secret amenity at any Kimpton Hotel. This is “a thing” and the hotels have real discretion as to what they give away. Sometimes it’s a few drinks, other times it’s upgrades but it’s always something – and something is always nice!
No need to mention the secret code in advance, just say “I believe the secret code is “Road Trip” at check in and everything will get sorted. You could try to be more sly about it, but it might not work! The code works for all stays for the near future.
Hey, Free Stuff…
Kimpton is a fan favorite, in part because of their free wine evenings and their quirky approach to the hotel experience.
New Kimpton’s are opening up all over Asia and Europe, with more locations in the USA as well. Saying three words really will get you something for free, which is pretty hard to argue with. If you have any upcoming Kimpton stays, you now know the magic words. Enjoy!

Just said the magic words when checking in to the Kimpton De Witt in Amsterdam – and so they’ve given us both free breakfast tomorrow morning! 😃
Ah this is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Keeping my eyes peeled for one valid in May 2019 😉
Shame I didn’t know about this previously, we were at the Kimpton Amsterdam last August too!
Thanks a lot for sharing.
