Deal of the year, maybe not. But business class to Europe under $2000 round trip is something to celebrate – especially when it features some of the newest and best flat beds in the business. Star Alliance airlines Air Canada, Lufthansa, Avianca and United are offering fantastic fares from the West Coast of the USA, giving you a chance to earn a ton of points at prices we rarely ever see.
The Deals
Star Alliance is offering enticing deals out of Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles to attack Delta. There are also great deals from the East Coast, from cities like New York and Miami, but the West Coast business class deals are truly amazing. You can experience Air Canada’s newest business class suites, which rival many of the best “in the business”. You can also fly with Lufthansa, Avianca or United – all offering flat beds as well. For 20 hours round trip, that kind of comfort certainly doesn’t hurt – and neither do all the status points and miles!
The Dates
These deals are available every month from now thru February 2019, for departures on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you can make those days work, you can save a fortune on business class. Economy fares from the West Coast regularly cost over $1000, making this a true steal. Heck, Premium Economy is more expensive on most dates!
How To Book
For West Coast the very best deals are out of Portland. We recommend considering using points, miles or a cheap ticket to get yourself to Portland to take advantage of these $1960 or less round trip fares. The next best deals are from Los Angeles on Avianca, which are just a couple hundred more. If East Coast is your thing, the prices are about $2000 round trip. Here’s an example of the best round trip deals from each city, like: $1960 Portland, $2053 Los Angeles, $2053 New York. You may even be able to shave a few extra bucks off using these websites. If you have Amex Platinum, 5X points for booking direct with the airline certainly wouldn’t hurt though!
Are you taking advantage of these great fares?
Thanks to Chris Ashby for the heads up.
Thanks for the tip about PDX departures. But I’m seeing the best fares using Delta and Virgin Atlantic (yes, please!) or KLM instead of Star Alliance.
