Whoever said sitting on Facebook is a waste of time doesn’t quite have it right. Qatar Airways, one of the world’s most highly rated airlines just revealed their brand new business class cabin, the QSuite via a Facebook live event. Before we go further, calling it “business class” seems insulting, even though it is. It’s without a doubt the most impressive seat we’ve seen in business, and we’ve got everything you want to know and every picture you want to see!

Ok, Just Show Me Some Amazing Photos!

Qatar are cleverly calling this new design “First in Business”, a cheeky play on the fact that these seats are on par with many first class offerings. The window seats now are now fully enclosed, with tall doors to completely shut out the rest of the cabin. The private “suites”, also pick up XL entertainment systems with more connectivity, not to mention a little ottoman type seat, storage compartment at the window. Remind you of any other fully enclosed suites?

But the fully enclosed middle seats are where the “revolution” is really happening. There are seat pairs geared for couples, seats further apart with privacy dividers for solo travelers or business coleagues and if that doesn’t sound very revolutionary, you’re right. The revolution is that they can all be transformed in an instant.

Voila! The central entertainment systems diving the rows can be pushed to the side, opening up a four way suite in the middle, suitable for families or friends traveling together. Not only do the couple’s seats look cozy while upright, they form a double bed for sleeping, something which only compares to Singapore Suites class. Again, this is business class, somehow….

When and Where Will It Fly?

Did that video not blow your mind?! This exact seating configuration will be installed on all 777 and A350 aircraft, beginning in June 2017, with the delivery of their newest 777-300ER on the London to Doha route. Qatar Airways CEO, his excellency Akbar Al Baker claims that all aircraft (including a close variation on A380 + 787 aircraft) will be installed by next year, which gives many of us (hooray) a fighting chance to experience it on end of year bookings.
