SPG and Marriott Rewards will officially combine into one seriously powerful loyalty program in August 2018. The hotel group believes strongly in the future of mobile, and want everyone to download their app. As a fair play, they’re offering 250 bonus points every time someone books direct with SPG and uses mobile check in. 250 points per check in, unlimited points until June 10th. And remember – those points will automatically become 750 Marriott points per check in, when the conversion happens in August!

You must book your stay directly with Starwood either in the app or online to be eligible. You always should anyway, since this ensures you earn both points and elite status credits. This offer is good at over 1,100 hotels. You’ll receive your bonus points within 4 weeks, after the promotion has ended – though they may post sooner. Just four stays would earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints, which will soon equal 3,000 Marriott points when the points automatically convert into the new Marriott Rewards program. Since these points are all on top of any standard earnings, there’s a lot to love.
How To Book
You can download the SPG Android or SPG Apple iOS apps. Once you’re logged into the app, just be sure to use mobile check in to skip the queues and navigate your way directly to your room. You’ll want to have app notifications turned on, because the app will offer you the chance to check in somewhere between 72 to 48 hours before arrival. If you’ve got SPG stays coming up, this is a no brainer to earn an unlimited amount of SPG points. Not bad, right?
