Summer air fare is horrifyingly expensive. We all want a getaway while the weather is hot and airlines see that as the perfect opportunity to squeeze us. Fair play I guess. Supply and demand. Summer economy fares rarely drop below $1100 round trip between the US and Europe and I’ve even seen far worse, as high as $1600 (£1200) recently. You care because there are some tremendous business class deals right now to the US for next summer where you can fly in a flat bed with all the champagne you can drink for about the same or less as those in the back!
The Deal
Almost every airline is matching at $1453 (£950) round trip for flat bed business class between Copenhagen Denmark and New York City. Airlines include British Airways (via London), Swiss (via Geneva or Zurich), Delta (direct), Air France (via Paris) and Lufthansa (via Frankfurt). If you’re a British Airways fanatic, then even let you knock off half the price for 30,000 Avios making it only $750USD round trip. You can convert it to GBP!
The Dates
So far the fare appears valid from July-August of SUMMER 2016. If we find more dates we will let you know! The fare is not the same in reverse but if you have miles it can be great to use miles to get to Copenhagen and get three flights for cheaper than one!
Booking
Plug your ideal summer dates in directly with your airline or favorite online travel agency. Most airlines allow free cancellation within 24 hours for flights this far out. Check your individual airline’s policy and lock it in before this inevitably disappears! Fast!
This is a fantastic opportunity to fly in total comfort for what many people will pay for economy. I get a real kick out of doing that. As always we should thank the clever folks on Flyertalk for sniffing out these fantastic prices. If you have plans to visit New York make it happen!
